Assembly is easy, but this is coming from an engineer. I have experience operating a drill, I have a star torx bit and I’m not afraid of step-by-step instructions. My wife and I were a little scared from reading the amazon reviews from people saying that it took hours to put together, was missing pieces, and that these pieces would not fit together. Now, it is clear that the people assembling their kids toys were either inexperienced, full of holiday anxiety or were too tired. Assembly could not be easier. My wife and I took our time and put it together in just over an hour while my daughter napped.
I bought this for our daughter on her second birthday. I wanted something that was durable and beautiful – not plastic – since it would be out in the house for a long time. I expected it to be a little complicated to set up because it is a wooden piece. However, by laying out all of the pieces (to be sure all was included) and following the very clear instructions, I was able to put this together by myself (no husband or extra hands of any kind) in two evenings without a bit of trouble.
